Summary:

I give American Consumer Opinion® Five Stars because you get paid for the survey screeners, they accept people from every country and payments always arrive on time.

Today, I would like to write a complete, updated American Consumer Opinion review. American Consumer Opinion®, also known as ACOP, is an online survey panel with over 8,000,000 members worldwide. Their website went live on the Internet in 1996. ACOP is a division of Decision Analyst Incorporated, based in Arlington, Texas, USA.

American Consumer Opinion Review

American Consumer Opinion is a trusted survey site with a well-deserved A+ reputation at The Better Business Bureau. They also hold membership with CASRO, The Council of American Survey Research Organizations. Because they accept people from outside the United States, they also make the list of my favorite international survey sites.

I decided to write another American Consumer Opinion review because they really are one of the best paid survey companies. I like it that they pay from 10-50 cents just for the short qualifying surveys. If you are chosen for the main survey, you will get an email invitation a day or two later. The surveys pay from 100-5000 points, depending on length, where 100 Points=$1.00.

ACOP has a low $10.00 cash-out threshold and payments always arrive quickly. Last month, I got my check by mail in about a week. All members can get paid in their country’s own currency or even by American Express Gift Cheque. You can choose the option of PayPal if you would rather receive electronic payments.

While sometimes you may not get as many surveys as you would like, the surveys usually move pretty quickly, lasting less than 20 minutes. For every friend you invite to join the site, you get a chance to win $50.00. Or, for those of you inclined to make money with survey referrals, be sure to join their great affiliate program, then write your own personal American Consumer Opinion review.

I have been a member with ACOP since 2007. I have never had any problems with surveys not crediting and they always pay in a timely manner. I don’t anticipate anything changing in the near future, but if that happens, I will quickly write an amendment to my American Consumer Opinion review.

  1. I guess you have been out of touch with them for a while. I also have been a member for several years and although I love their surveys, in the past year it now takes them 2 months to pay out. I requested a pay out check on 5/7/2014, and I am still waiting. They have not responded to my inquiries. If you look on the Survey Police site, you will find nothing but complaints.

    • Hello, Dana.

I don’t like waiting for my survey payments either, but I still can’t write off American Consumer Opinion. They have never missed a payment with me, although sometimes I do have to wait a little longer. Their terms state that you should receive payment within 4-6 weeks. I have been waiting for a payment for a little longer than that now. I’m not sure what’s up, but if they don’t live up to their promises, you can be sure I will tell the world with an updated review.

      Thanks for your input!
